ISSP News

New modules
The new module Social Ineqiality IV (2009), a partial replication of the modules in 1987, 1992 and 1999 was finalised at the 2008 annual meeting in Chicago, April 27 - April 30 2008. The drafting group was chaired by the Netherlands.

The following modules are currently being developed by the ISSP:

Environment III,
a partial replication of the modules in 1993 and 2000 has been decided as the ISSP module in 2010. The drafting group is being chaired by Great Britain.

Health,
a new topic in the ISSP, has been decided as the ISSP module in 2011.
The drafting group is being chaired by Israel

New members
At the ISSP general meeting in 2008, Kiev International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) and Institute of Sociology of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (ISNAS) were invited to be ISSP members from Ukraine.
Centro de Estudios de Opinión Pública de la Universidad de Buenos Aires was invited to be member from Argentine.
